Julia Kim

Graduate Student (Tetrad), joint with Frost Lab.
BA, Smith College

Julia finished her BA from Smith College in Northampton, MA in 2019. During her time there, she studied the regulation of neural stem cells in development under Dr. Michael Barresi before deciding to try out a more synthetic based lab. Julia then worked with Dr. Maren Buck and Dr. Sarah Moore to synthesize protein polymer conjugates for targeted drug delivery. Her current research interests revolve around answering basic biological questions that can bring greater understanding of general biological principles.

When not trying to hold a pipette steady after a tiny cup of coffee, Julia enjoys sampling bakeries, attempting to execute a new baked good, watercoloring, being a helicopter parent to her few plants, and visiting the beach if convenient transportation is available. Oh and also sleeping.
