Cindy Ow
Graduate Student (Developmental and Stem Cell Biology),
BS, Johns Hopkins University
Cindy finished her BS from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD in 2021. During her time there, she studied the role of histone variant H3.3 in C. elegans gametogenesis and embryogenesis with Dr. Xin Chen. She then worked with Dr. Vinay Tergaonkar in Singapore on Cas9-based split base editors. Her current research interests include molecular processes in the context of early development.
When she is outside of lab, Cindy is an avid violist and plays contemporary Classical chamber music with friends. She also enjoys exploring indie concert venues in San Francisco, listening to music, going to the cinema, and reading.
