Andrew Alamban
Graduate Student (Biophysics),
BS, University of Arizona
Andrew finished his BS from the University of Arizona in Tucson in 2020. During his time there, he studied how cells communicate with their neighbors through gap junction channels in the lab of Dr. Janis Burt. His current research interest lies in the metasynchronous mitoses during Drosophila embryogenesis and whether cytoplasmic factors play a role in its timing.
When not doing science, Andrew enjoys exploring the city of San Francisco and its diverse offerings in food and coffee. He also likes to experience distant worlds through reading books and playing video games.
