Anand Bakshi

Anand completed his BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at UC Davis in 2020. While in attendance he studied how age affects the metabolome in different areas of the brain in the lab of Dr. Oliver Fiehn. His current research includes looking at how cytoplasmic organization influences the early embryonic cycles in Drosophila. 

When he’s not in the lab, he enjoys spending time with his family, kayaking in the bay, and baking unique styles of bread and pastries. He also enjoys delving into different worlds through reading, and creating his own through short stories, whether they be for himself or his daughter.
