Jiayang Chen
Postdoctoral Fellow,
PhD, Dartmouth College
Jiayang earned her BS degree in Biological Science from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China in 2016. During her time there, she studied glycosylation-related genes and their biological functions during Drosophila development in the lab of Dr. Xiaohang Yang. Following her undergraduate work, she joined the He Lab at Dartmouth College in the Biological Sciences Department, where she studied the regulation of non-muscle myosin II during Drosophila emrbyonic cleavage cycles. Her PhD studies provided insights into how fly embryos utilize cytokinesis machinery for specialized cleavage processes.
Outside the lab, Jiayang is passionate about reading, traveling, culinary experimentation, and indulging in anime.
